Safety and security

bright eyes cameraThe Nursery has, as you will notice, many gates, locked doors, high door handles, and warning notices. These are for the protection of your children. Please pay attention to the notices and lock all doors behind you. Do not assume the person behind you will do it, or think it will be alright for a few minutes. It is so easy to be distracted and young children can slip out before you see them, so for the safety of all the children lock the gate and close the door every single time. The only time you should leave a gate or door open is if a member of staff says they will take responsibility for it.

. Some of the rules can seem very irritating, but they are necessary to protect all the children.

The safety of your children is our prime concern - we have tried to eradicate all unsafesecurity 1 bright eyes practices from the Nursery, but if you are worried about safety or notice anything you consider unsafe, please have a word with the Group Leader in your group, who will investigate. Alternatively, please contact the Nursery Office.

Registration

When you arrive a member of staff will welcome you and your child into the nursery. Each child is allocated a peg for coats and bags, the pegs have their names on and photo, this will help the child to start to recognise their name. After you have taken their coats off you may bring your child into their room, you will be asked to sign your child into the nursery and sign them out again on collection. This is part of Ofsted requirements, and is needed for your Childs safety and in-case of an emergency.
